Course Description

Introduction to Master Tung’s Acupuncture – Commonly Used Tung’s Points

Tung’s Acupuncture has become famous all over the world for both its spectacular clinical results and the speed with which it achieves these results.  Students everywhere are eager to learn Tung’s Acupuncture.

In this course Dr. Young Wei-Chieh, recognized as the foremost authority in the world on Tung’s Acupuncture, will present the most commonly used points from the over 700 acupuncture point which make up the system. Students will be introduced to the fundamental theories and principles behind the system: including the Holism, Correspondence, and Zang Fu Alternate Communication Theories; as well as the three important needling techniques--Moving the Qi, Dao Ma, and Guiding the Qi Techniques. Students will learn point locations for commonly used points from all twelve body areas, clinical indications and applications of the points, as well as the theory of how and why the points work.  The class will include a hands-on point location and needling demonstration component.  Dr. Young will also share his own personal expansion and development of Tung’s points usage arising from his over forty years of experience treating 400,000+ patients. Participants will return to their clinics armed with powerful new tools that will significantly increase clinical results.

Master Tung’s Acupuncture in the Treatment of Pain Syndrome

Pain is without a doubt the number one reason people seek out acupuncture treatments. Being able to treat pain syndromes rapidly and effectively is thus a necessary and fundamental skill for the acupuncturist.

Tung’s Acupuncture is a complete system of acupuncture, equal to and in many ways superior to the commonly known and practiced 14 Channel Acupuncture System. In recent years Tung’s Acupuncture has gained renown around the world because of its extremely rapid "magical" results, use of small number of needles, and ease of administration.  In this course Dr. Young Wei-Chieh, the premiere disciple of Master Tung Ching-Ch'ang, will teach many of the points used from the Tung’s Acupuncture System for the treatment of pain, the principles behind why these points work, and the needling techniques which Dr. Young developed to enhance the effectiveness of the points. Dr. Young will share his experience of over forty years in using Tung’s Acupuncture for pain, and class attendees will gain knowledge which will dramatically improve their clinical results when dealing with head and sense orifice pain, pain effecting the trunk, limbs, and joints, as well as pain associated with the internal Zang and Fu.
